Sometimes movies just seem like pretexts for actors to get involved. Recently, according to MovieHole.com, a motion picture remake of the small screen hit 'Gidget' will be made. And it turns out that Miley is being asked to play waverider Gidget alongside Zac Efron with who Cyrus admitted to have a crush. So, don’t be surprised if a romantic relationship will start during the shootings. Especially since Zac will play Miley’s love interest.

Brittany Snow is also spotted to play in the remake.

The original film was directed by Paul Wendkos in1959 and actress Sandra Dee had the main role. The basic idea of the movie is about a teenager's initiation into the California surf culture and her affiliated romance with a young surfer.
