Ever since John McCain named Sarah Palin as his running mate, I've heard countless people whispering prayers into the internet ether, begging Tina Fey to return to Saturday Night Live to portray her. On Saturday, she came through and not only NAILED the Sarah Palin impersonation, she achieved the impossible: Tina Fey made me crush on her even more than I already do.
Fey joins old buddy Amy Poehler, who also does a pretty dead-on impersonation of Hilary Clinton, and the two address the nation in a "non-partisanal" message to the nation and the media about sexism in the presidential race. Poehler as Clinton snarks, "An issue which I am frankly surprised to hear that people suddenly care about."
Fey already had the glasses, but it's like she was just waiting for Sarah Palin to come along. She has the accent, the little mouth thing, the waves and mannerisms. It's sublime. Honestly, Barack Obama should just hire her to do his campaign ads. Check it:
