Small, but ambitious, Shawn Johnson counts a new trophy in her collection: she and professional dance partner Mark Ballas won the competition of Dancing With the Stars at ABC! The couple beat out other finalists Gilles Marini and Melissa Rycroft.

So Shawn saw that she can be more then a gymNast and that she can also dance very well. "I've really grown as a person. This has really changed my life. This whole thing has been the time of my life -- just an amazing experience", she told Usmagazine.com.

The competition was very rough. At the last dance each from the three finalists counted score 30 from the judges. After viewer votes were combined with the judges' scores, Rycroft was dismissed first.

So in the end, ''less then one percent'', as show host Tom Bergeron said, separated Johnson and runner-up Marini, who made a couple with pro dancer Cheryl Burke.

The winners were almost shocked when they found out they won. "I was blown away -- absolutely floored!" Ballas declared for Us. Johnson added: "Especially when they said less than one percent! I could not believe it!"

Ballas thinks that they deserved to win since they worked a lot and also because Shawn made a wonderful job : "Shawn has improved every week, [and] she's really peaked over the last three weeks with the samba, the tango -- they all showed consistent improvement."
