Ryan O'Neal and Farrah Fawcett are what we could call a real couple. They are sharing 29 years old relationship, but never got married. The two have a 24-year-old son Redmond together (who doesn’t have a too happy story since he is in rehab following previous drug convictions).

In 2006 Farrah was diagnosed with anal cancer and in the past few months her health wasn’t too good. So Ryan though this is the right time to ask her to marry him. ''I've asked her to marry me, again, and she's agreed," O'Neal, 68, told Barbara Walters in an exclusive interview on ABC's 20/20. Ryan even told Barbara that he and Farrah talked about what to wear at the wedding ceremony, joking that he'll dress "like a gigolo. You know? And a little thin mustache and slicked-back hair. I don't know. We have fun, we tease about that."

The actor also revealed that "I used to ask her to marry me all the time. But ... it just got to be a joke, you know. We just joked about it." I guess that now, when Farrah is sick it is perfect time for them to officialese their love. Also after a life time spent together, this would be a wonderful gesture.

Ryan stood next to his wife over these past two years and said that he really has fallen in love with her seeing how much she wants to live. "I know this, that in the last two years I loved her more than I've ever loved her – ever. She's so much more of a woman ... powerful, courageous, fearless and all those adjectives. And I look at her with awe", the actor told in May for NBC.
