British rocker Pete Doherty was ordered by the court on Thursday to pay damages to a photographer after he smashed her camera as she was trying to take a photograph of him before he returned to a clinic for drug treatment. Catherine Mead, who works for the South West News Service agency, had her equipment broken when Doherty became angry and upset that she was following him and his family around the town of Crewkerne.
