Everyone wondered why, at Cannes, Penelope Cruz wasn’t able to promote her new movie 'Nine'. Back then, we thought that the actress ate some poisoned food, mostly because this is what she declared. But no, not at all! She is just pregnant with Javier Bardem’s child. Which is very very good. After all, what can come out from two gorgeous Oscar winners love but a lovely child!

Anyway, 35 years old actress already declared that she wants to start a family so the timing is perfect. “I’d love to have kids. I think I would be a perfect mother”, she said in April. And it looks like she won’t have to wait too much to find out.

Of course that, Penelope still wants to focus on her career, but maybe the fact that her friend, Salma Hayek already has an almost 2 years old girl, made her take a decision.

The couple didn’t make anything official yet, but after all, if they don't tell us anything, we will find out anyway…let’s say in about nine months!
