Hollywood legend
Paul Newman died of cancer last night in his home. The actor was 83 years old. Starring in many Hollywood blockbusters like "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," "The Hustler," "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid," and "The Sting," Newman was also a big fan of car racing and a major philanthropist.
In the 80s, Newman started Newman's Own, a food company. All profits from the company went to charities such as his Hole in the Wall Gang camp. To date, the company has given away more than $200 million. Newman established the camp to benefit gravely ill children.
He has been married to actress Joanne Woodward for 50 years and leaves behind Joanne and four children. A fifth child, son Scott, died in 1978 from an accidental drug overdose.
Rock on, Paul. Loved everything you were in.
