Despite the fact that a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida said this morning that Patrick Swayze passed away, this is not true. His representative made the announcement that the actor is not dead for Usmagazine.com, in order to overrule the information given. "Patrick Swayze is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment", added the representative.

For those who might not know, in 2008 the actor was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he was under treatments ever since. Part of his treatment also involved chemotherapy. This year, the actor denied the information that he has only a few weeks to live and confirmed that he is fighting with his illness. "I am one of the lucky ones with pancreatic cancer that is responding well to the treatment," he said back then.

Personally, I find it very unprofessional (not to mention impolite) for a radio station to give such wrong information. After all we are talking about somebody’s life, and somebody well known.
