The Miss Universe contest has chosen its winners. This way, the 2009 Miss Universe was chosen the 18 years old representative of Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez. The beautiful girl beat the four other finalists, girls from Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Kosovo, and Australia.

The winner wore a red dress during the beauty pageant.

The last year’s winner, Dayana Mendoza hug Stefania Fernandez on the stage and shared her happiness.

One small incident happened: while Dayana was giving her the crown, Stefania dropped the tiara on stage. But Dayana picked it up and helped the new Miss Universe to put it on her head.

In 2008 Stefania Fernandez won the Miss Venezuela and she was selected as the "Miss Elegance", "Best Body" and "Best Face" in the same event.

In last night Miss Universe contest, Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha placed the second, while Miss Australia Rachael Finch was the third.

Miss China Wang Jingyao was chosen as Miss Photogenic, while Miss Thailand Chutima Durongdej was named Miss Congeniality.
