One thing I like about Vegas and that is the fact that if you get married there, you can always change your mind without having to share your fortune with your husband/wife. And maybe this is what Katy Perry thought three years ago when she was only 21 and and found it funny to have a fake wedding in Las Vegas with her ex boyfriend. "We went to Vegas on a whim and we decided to get fake married. We took all the pictures with the minister, with the fake cake, in the fake chapel and got a fake marriage certificate. We went and bought a wedding dress and a suit at a thrift store, and scanned the pictures and the certificate to my family members, my manager at the time [and] totally freaked the s--- out of them", Perry reveals.

Now at 24 years, the singer who already split with Travis McCoy, thinks that this story “It was the most hilarious, stupid prank I’ve ever pulled.” And she claims that she still has the dress and the certificate. Oh, I never thought she was that sentimental!
And it seems that this fake wedding inspired her 'Waking Up in Vegas’ song which is about getting into trouble with your friend.
