When a known actress marries a really famous actor there is always a need of time for her to find her own acting identity and to come out from her husband’s behind. If that happens then she is really good actress, if she doesn’t, then she could just stay home and raise kids.

Katie Holmes wanted to go out and to live behind the impression that her marriage with Tom Cruise was a way to make people know her better. So she wants to be on her own feet.

Recently she was in New York where she starred in “All My Sons” on Broadway. And she declared that she is in love with New York going to that point where she wanted to move in. Of course that Tom Cruise didn't agree and she had to go back to Los Angeles.

Now, according to Star magazine, 30 years old Katie is spending a lot of time working on her dance moves hoping that she will be playing into a musical, the Broadway version of the movie “Finding Neverland.” The play is based on the life of Peter Pan author J.M. Barrie and the original movie starred Johnny Deep in the Peter Pan’s role. And now Katie Holmes wants the female’s role. That would not be a bad thing since she proved that she is a serious actress after playing in “All My Sons” and on ABC series ‘Eli Stone.’

Like that she could find her real independence from Tom which is a good thing for a young actress.
