Lots of casting news regarding daddy
Johnny Depp. First of all, he's been cast as The Mad Hatter in
Tim Burton's adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland." I think it's a prerequisite for all
Tim Burton films that
Johnny Depp is somewhere in there, and I think they make a great pair. Depp will be joined by Australian actress Mia Wasikowska, who has been cast as Alice.
Depp has also agreed to do a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film. I don't know why, the last one kind of blew, but Jack Sparrow will be back. They're still trying to get
Orlando Bloom from what I hear.
AND Depp will play Tonto in an upcoming Lone Ranger film.
So why haven't we heard officially about him playing The Riddler in another Batman movie? That would make my week.
Johnny Depp has been cast as The Mad Hatter in
Tim Burton’s upcoming adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The project marks the latest collaboration between the Golden Globe-winning actor and Burton, who have previously teamed up for feature films like Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and 2007’s Sweeney Todd, for which Johnny earned an Oscar nomination.
