Heath Ledger’s unfinished movie premiered at Cannes

Too bad that good actors die too fast and for such fullish reasons, like Heath Ledger did. The actor died in 2008 at 29 years old for an accidental drug overdose. His final performance before dying 'The Imaginarium of Doctor ParNassus', premiered this year at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The actor didn’t finished the project at the date of his death, but still, director Terry Gilliam vowed to finish the film. "Fortunately, I was surrounded by really good people who insisted that I couldn't be such a lazy bastard and that we had to go out and find a way of finishing the film for Heath," Gilliam said. The director could choose between Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell to play incarnations of Ledger during the last portion of the fantasy film.

From what he said, Gillian wants to make this movie in Heath’s memory because the actor was deeply involved in the project. "Heath was enjoying himself so much, and he was ad-libbing a lot, which I don't normally allow ... but Heath was just brilliant at it, and he got everybody else going. Everybody was just energized by Heath. He was extraordinary. He was almost exhausting because he had so much energy", the director said.

Of course the film closes with a moving dedication :"A film from Heath Ledger and friends".

We will always remember him as a good actor from movies like: '10 Things I Hate About You', 'The Patriot', 'Monster's Ball', 'A Knight's Tale', 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'The Dark Knight'.
