Former ’American Idol’ contestant found dead

If you are an ’American Idol’ fan, you might remember Alexis Cohen. She was a contestant in the seventh and eighth season of the contest. Unfortunately, her music career wasn’t made to become a huge one, so she had to leave the contest. But more sad is that the 25 years old woman was killed by a car in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

According to The Insider, her body was found by a driver on the side of the road this weekend. She was transported to Community Medical Center and declared dead.
The autopsy revealed injuries to her head, chest and abdominal areas as the result of a collision with a vehicle.

23-year-old Daniel Bark was booked on charges of death by reckless driving as well as leaving the scene of an accident in the death of Alexis Cohen. If convicted, Bark faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
Alexis Cohen auditioned for "Idol" in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in August 2007 and the episode aired in January 2008.
