Usually when a girl fails to be Miss something, everyone forgets her. But then, there are some girls that succeed to stay in public's attention despite the fact that they are not that Miss. Carrie Prejean is one good example. She is Miss California, but she failed to be Miss USA. She pretends that the reason was her disagree about marriage between people with the same sexual orientation. What was never asked is: why is she against it?
Well, it seems that this comes from her family, since both of Carrie’s parents made “gay allegations” in their divorce.
And now there is a woman who pretends she had sexual relationships with Carrie’s mother “a few weeks” before Carrie made that controversial statement against gay marriage during the Miss USA pageant. Valerie Vetrano, an openly lesbian California, claims she had a sexual relationship with Prejean’s mom, Francine Coppola. “I did date her. I’m not going to deny it, but I’m not going to say anything else”, she told ABCNews.com. She didn’t give any other details but added that the controversial relationship ended “a couple weeks before Carrie Prejean was in the Miss USA competition.”
According to close sources of the family, nobody knew about Francine’s orientation. Although, back in 1996, when she got divorce from her husband Wil Prejean, both parties made gay allegations against the other.
Also, Star Magazine has details about the relationship, including photos of Carrie’s mom out at a gay bar. So it seems to me that this woman could really be a lesbian. Or at least bisexual and all this must have affected Carrie.
Of course that no one from the family wanted to make any comment about this news.
Personally, I believe that Carrie has all the right to be anti gay if she feels it. But she did wrong when she just went on and on with this statement as if, once it made her have a lot of attention, she should have continue.
