Bristol Palin: Telling her parents about the pregnancy was "harder than labor"

Bristol Palin, Alaska Governor's eldest daughter would like to become a messenger for pregnancy prevention among the teens. On an interview with FOX News' Greta Van Susteren on a FOX that aired Monday night, the 18 year-old mom want people to see her experience as a DO NOT example for others.

"Everyone should wait 10 year. I hope people learn from my story … It's so much easier if you're married, have a house and career. It's not a situation you want to strive for."

Further on, Palin said that her mother's view regarding abstinence among teenagers is "not realistic at all" and that it was her decision to keep the baby in spite of her mom's status as a Right to Life advocate. "It was my choice to have the baby. It doesn't matter what my mom's views are on it. It was my decision." She also confessed that telling her parents about the pregnancy was "harder than labor" and she needed the support of her boyfriend, Levi Johnston, and her best friend to be beside her when the moment came.

Tripp's birth on December 27 brought her a lot of joy "I like being a mom. I love it, just seeing him smile and stuff. It's awesome," and describes Levi as a "hands-on dad."

To everybody's surprise Gov. Sarah Palin and her grandson Tripp joined in at the end the interview and when asked about her daughter actual situation she went on saying "Hey, life happens. Not the most ideal situation, certainly you make the most of it." The Alaska Governor added she feels proud of her daughter and didn't expect that Bristol will do so well in her new role as a mother.
