Brad Pitt was just a tad surprised when he was called up on stage at this year's Venice Film Festival, to accept a best-acting trophy for an award he won last year.

BP won the honor for his starring role in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, but, apparently, never got to take home the gold.

"You can run but you can't hide," the ever-charming Brad joked, as he accepted the almost-Stanley Cup-size statue (how big is that?!). "It was an honor to receive this last year and it's an honor to receive it this year. Thank you very much."

I bet it just gave Brad and bud George Clooney another thing to joke about later.
