After the one year old child she was babysitting died, Billy Bob Thornton’s daughter Amanda Brumfield claimed it wasn’t her fault. She told the cops the child died after falling from her playpen. This happened last October. But ever since, the police has investigated the case because the little girl's injuries were saying more about the death’s cause.

So an autopsy determined the child suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma due to blunt trauma.

As a consequence of this, Amanda Brumfield has been charged with first degree murder, aggravated child abuse and aggravated manslaughter.
