53 years old actor Billy Bob Thornton is now very deep into music. He is the lead singer of Boxmasters Band. The music they sing is…well a mix of rockabilly with British pop music, or “hillbilly rock.” The band seems to have a lot of to work, they released three albums only in the past year. Now they are in a tour with Willie Nelsen and Ray Price in order to promote the latest album, “Modbilly”. Too many „billies” in the same phrase? I think so too, but BILLY Bob doesn’t!

The band gave (or intended to give) an interview on CBC radio and I said they intended because Thornton looked really bizarre. First he got weird when DJ Jian Ghomeshi mentioned his acting career and Thornton was obviously not thrilled about it. Also the actor (oops singer) was very distracted in his responses and he even refused to perform with the band claiming that he is a drummer and there were not drums there. (Note that there are Boxmasters Band’s song in which Thornton doesn’t use drums).

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know what you mean by that.

What do you learn from Willie Nelson, Billy Bob? [They are currently on tour with Nelson]
Uh, I’ve never met him… I don’t really know him. I said hello to him once, nice guy.

You guys don’t really hang out on tour? You don’t know what I mean?

Did Willie chose you guys to go on tour with him?
Sh*t, I don’t know…

But do you know that people are listening across the country… and they might think that’s odd that I would not mention anything about your past.
