Soccer ace David Beckham blogged about how happy he was about his new billboard for Armani underwear, in which he looks stunning, I must say, but what surprised/excited him even more was, seeing the amount of people who turned up just to see him/his package! He also talked about how he always wanted to get to San Francisco and how wonderful it was to finally be there. Heres what my man had to say:
Hi everyone,

Well Im sure youve seen the pictures but last week I went to San Francisco to see the unveiling of the new Emporio Armani campaign I shot a while back. To be honest I was amazed by the huge billboard poster outside Macys department store, but even more amazed by the amount of people who turned up to see it! Im always surprised by the amount of attention certain things create, but the attention this campaign has created is pretty incredible. It was great to meet some of the people whod come out especially though, Ive always wanted to visit San Francisco, so it was a great to finally get there...
Moving onto the football - Saturdays game was a bit of a disappointment to say the least. We were 2-0 up and playing at home, so we should have closed out The Game, but credit to Columbus Crew, they came back at us and forced a draw. We did get a point, but it feels like a loss to be honest. We need to make our stadium a fortress and win our games there and not give anything away, not just in defence, but also from the forwards and the midfield.
At the moment its just the consistency, its all about finishing off teams and holding onto leads. Sometimes it just needs a bit of calmness. Its all a learning process and we will get better, its just about getting the mix right.
