Congratulations to Blur bassist Alex James and his wife Claire. They welcomed their first daughter in late August. The darling little girl came in at 8 lbs., 3 oz. and has been named Athena. Alex and Claire are already parents to Geronimo, 4, and 2-year-old twins Artemis and Galileo.
In his column for The Independent, Alex said:
"Our daughter arrived last Thursday, 8lb 3oz. I’ve been gazing at her, as one does. A tiny toad hopped inside yesterday and as I held it in my palm on my way to the pond for lost frogs, all the miraculous quick glimmer of a new life was there in my hand. Frogs and Princesses: they’re more similar than I thought."
Uh, yeeeeeah. Child Protective Services are said to be on the way to James' house. Look at that photo. It's like they're in some weird compound or something, making their own clothes out of old lava lamp boxes. And who names their freaking kid Geronimo?
And just in case you don't think you know Blur, they have one of those songs that has been used around a trillion times in commercials.
