2009 Oscars: Best and worse fashion choices

2009 Oscars: Best and worse fashion choices

Nobody can deny that the Oscars' second nature, beside the one for bestowing Hollywood's most talented people, dwells in offering a spectacular catwalk show right on the red carpet. And according to this attribution, it is actresses' great opportunity to grace or to shade with their sense for fashion.

Here is a list with the luckiest ones who succeeded in catching everybody's breath or the less fortunate who ended being scrutinized for their lack of inspiration.

Best dressed were:

Anne Hathaway looked lovely in her Armani Prive mermaid-like gown.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who loves to look like a ballerina, but she knows how to do it right and make sure she looks sexy.

Natalie Portman, breaking the night’s trend of red and white, she showed up in shocking Pink. Portman looked sophisticated and fresh.

Marion Cotillard, sequins and tulle can be a horror show, but Marion is French and therefore made her party frock work.

Angelina Jolie, excelled in finding the perfect combination of her black dress paired with those emerald earrings.

Worst dressed:

Jessica Biel, in a huge silk Prada Gown with enough fabric to give it for charity was disappointing.

Beyoncé, the huge gold flower pattern on this dress and too tight fit make her look like grandma's couch.

Amy Adams, her red gown with geometric black detailing was strange and not flattering.
Miley Cyrus, a scaly-looking Zuhair Murad gown that was too mature for a 16 year old.
