With only three Kittens and three Cougars remaining, the competition is getting down to the wire on Age of Love. This week we got to see what happens when the bachelor divides his attention unevenly amongst the ladies, causing a mixture of tears, jealousy, and threats.Giselle Melanson lives and writes in Halifax, Nova Scotia; where the weather is cold, but the people are warm. Giselle enjoys killing her inner-child by watching people degrade themselves on reality TV, which makes fools of us all.Recap: The episode begins with Mark choosing Kittens Mary and Megan and Cougar Maria to accompany him on a group date of sand and surfing. Mark's divides his attention between the three ladies fairly evenly in the water, but once they hit dry land, Megan manages to steal Mark away for a romantic solo stroll on the beach. Mary decides to try and tag-along beside the two, who are walking hand-in-hand. The third-wheel result is awkward, and Mary licks her wounds back on the blanket with Maria, who has proven to be a comforting (mother-figure?) ally. For the show's second group date, Mark invites Cougar Jayanna and Kitten Amanda to a Moroccan-themed movie night. Jayanna reveals to the cameras that she thinks Amanda's feelings toward Mark are disproportionate, in that she seems to idolize him. Amanda is confident, however, that she has won Mark's attention, as it is her hand he is holding under the blanket when the three are snuggled up to watch a flick.Meanwhile, there is still one feline bachelorette left back at the suite who has not been chosen for any of the group dates. Cougar Jenn is excited and relieved when Mark shows up at the house with a leather motorcycle jacket just for her, to accompany him on a ride. The two share an intimate evening overlooking the Hollywood Hills, and the Kittens are not pleased when Jenn returns from her date glowing and disclosing the perfection of it all. Since this is Jenn's first time making an effort to talk to the Kittens, they feel she is only bragging, and as she leaves the room Amanda calls her Fake-ass.When it comes time for the elimination ceremony, Mary is once again crying. She feels that Mark has not made an effort to get to know her, and says that even if he does ask her to stay, she might just cry!Mary's comforter, Maria, has once again told the others beforehand that she has decided to opt-out of the game, as she is disappointed that Mark didn t pay enough attention to her on the group beach date. However, when it comes time to tell this to Mark, he explains that he had already gotten to know Maria previously on their one-on-one date, and was simply trying to be fair to the other girls. Maria loses her resolve yet again now that she is face-to-face with Mark, and decides to stay.Mark saves Mary for last, and her feelings of frustration bubble to the surface. She serves him a backhanded Good luck you ll need it! and then warns him not treat the other girls as he has treated her. She mentions something to the cameras about leaving with dignity , but once again dissolves into a puddle of tears as she bids her fellow felines farewell.Mark looks crushed and guilty.Score: a YUD. This show has perfected the art of the cliff-hanger, leaving us with Jayanna's ominous comment that she does not know what she will think of Maria if she decides to stay yet again after already crying wolf once before about dropping out. Stay tuned!
