Spencer Bennett Biography

A jazz fan since age 15, Bennett has been a jazz reviewer for the Musical Heritage Society since 1985. His reviews appear in both the Musical Heritage Review and since 1991 in the Jazz Heritage Review. He received his MA and Ph.D. in American Studies from Case Western Reserve University and taught humanities and history at that institution as well as the University of Virginia and Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. He is currently a Program Associate at First United Methodist Church in Adrian.
