Kimberly Chun is a staff writer at The San Francisco Chronicle where she has written stories on indie pop bands, underground comic book artists, illegal ferrets and the Japanese American internment. A lifelong music fan, she sang in Hawaii’s first all-girl punk band, spun records as a college radio DJ in Hawaii and Iowa, worked as a record buyer in San Francisco, and started zines that have been lauded in Factsheet Five and Sassy.
