David Vinopal Biography

David Vinopal says, “For 40 of my 48 years I have loved country music; that means I wasted the first eight.” He is author of The Country Music Funbook, a trip through country music history in a question/answer format. His article “Same Train, Different Time,” about country music stars and fans, was published in Shaping the Shorter Essay. He has played with a number of country bands, including the Country Cousins, Rainbow Rhythm Boys, Sleepy Hollow Express, Rural Rhythm Boys, Vin & Earl, and the Mellow Ds.
