Uruguayan folk singer/songwriter Yábor started studying music at the age of six. After he graduated from Montevideo’s Shubert Conservatory, where the artist learned how to play guitar, piano, and accordion, Yábor got involved in the local scene and was captivated by traditional music. In 1968, the folklorist participated in a record made by los Troperos del Alba, making his debut as a soloist a year later. In 1974, his album El Sonido Nacional was released by Argentine label Macondo. That same year, Yábor settled in Argentina.
