La Caja Biography

Argentinean Latin rock foursome la Caja was formed in 1992 by ex-Canturbe singer/guitarist Jorge Garacotche and bassist Fernando Bellini. After they were joined by Pablo Rodríguez on sax, Dito Pugliese on drums, and Florencia Ciarlo on vocals, the band made its debut album, called Aparato De Tranquilidad, recorded in Buenos Aires, mastered in Los Angeles, and released by EMI in 1996. Later, la Caja’s lineup was completed with the addition of guitarist and sax player Francisco Huici and drummer Claudio Arancibia, issuing El Baile De Los Fósiles soon after.
