Hijos de la Calle Biography

Venezuelan hip-hop foursome Hijos de la Calle made their debut with Pura Crema, released by Polygram in 1997, featuring “Toda Mi Gente,” their first hit. A year later, the rap act went on tour around South America, getting their music featured in a Chilean compilation called Global Hits, Ecuadorian Métase Al Baile Con Los Mejores del 98, and participating in MTV Lingo with “Ladre El Desmadre,” recorded along with Control Machete. Later, Hijos de la Calle returned with their second album, La Misma Escencia, Otro Camino, featuring Simón Díaz’ classic “Caballo Viejo.”
