Mexican singer/songwriter Gerardo Peña started composing at the age of 15, improving his skills while studying at Sonora’s University and the National School of Music (UNAM). The artist got involved in show business by joining a band called Malasangre and later formed Tránsito, a Mexican contemporary group, recording and touring Central America during the 1980s. In 1991, Gerardo Peña became an executive for L.A. Clip Productions, a company related to the Latin music industry. The singer’s solo career began with the release of 1996’s El Tren, followed by 1998’s Nada.
