Alberto Benita is a singer who performs Cumbia Tropical with Vallenato arrangements. His debut album on EMI Latin, El Paso de la Tortuga, became a hit due to its title track, which became a major hit single in 1996. It was followed in 1997 by the album El Salto del Conejo.
