He raps in English and if it wasn’t for the occasional odd pronunciation, he could be from the Bronx, but YB is in fact Danish. He released one album of dance-friendly party rap in 1992, I Am What I Am. YB has also worked with a number of high-profile Danish producers, including Soulshock, Cutfather, and Mo’ Wax veterans the Prunes. Some of his work has also appeared under the name Obi.
