Pierce Brosnan has handsome looks and charm, attributes he used to the fullest in his most famous role as James Bond. Born in Ireland in 1953, Brosnan's family moved to London when he was eleven years old. He then trained as an actor in London.Early television roles gave Pierce Brosnan a start in his career and he became well known in the United States after his appearance in the mini series, The Manions of America in 1981. He made a comic crime film with After The Sunset, directed by Brett Ratner. Salma Hayek was his love interest and it also co-starred Woody Harrelson and Don Cheadle. Seraphim Falls, a Civil War film, has a release date for 2006 and Pierce stars with Liam Neeson and Anjelica Huston. The directing credits for this film go to David Von Ancken. Another 2006 release has been scheduled for Caitlin. Directed by Marc Evans, it tells the story of poet Dylan Thomas and his relationship with his wife. Michael Sheen and Miranda Richardson star with Pierce and Rosamund Pike.Pierce Brosnan was married to Australian actress, Cassandra Harris, who died in 1991. He adopted her two children and they had a son together, called Sean. Sean Brosnan has just started out on his own acting career. Pierce re-married in 2001 and he has two more sons.
