Kate Hudson Takes the Cake Biography

Kate Hudson is making headlines as she makes her Glamorous directing debut. Following in the stiletto heels of the likes of Jennifer Anniston, Julia Stiles, and other leading Hollywood ladies, Kate is going to direct a short film for Glamour's film project, Reel Moments. The series gives female A-listers the opportunity to adapt and create short films based on essays submitted by Glamour readers.Kate, who's recently been seen sans-Owen Wilson, is an all-around Hollywood maven - at least professionally. Who *really* knows what these people are like behind closed doors? We like to think Kate is as sweet as she is glamorous, and as down-to-earth as she seems.Aside from her acting and directing chops, her fashion sense is also the envy of fashionistas everywhere. She's the poster child for beachy California style: she makes a tank top and jeans look like a well-thought-out outfit. Add to that her perfect beachy, wavy hair, which Kate's turned into a science. Then of course there's the sun-loving, California-girl make-up perfection!Yes, yes, she probably has a team of people to help her look like she does. More than likely she's not in front of her mirror before red carpet events, dabbing on her own bronzer and mascara. But to come off looking natural , while having a team of people who help you look your best, seems a pretty big feat in and of itself.While she may be a jeans-and-t-shirt girl in day-to-day life, she typically nails the glam/red carpet/award show look. And here again, she usually doesn't look over made up or pretentious. She mixes her signature beach look with designer fashion for a winning combination.Take the gold, plunging number. Or the dark brown chiffon dress worn to a premier of You, Me, and Dupree. Or the black, sequined halter she wore when she was still with Chris Robinson. She's definitely a fan of the low-cut neckline following in her mom's footsteps. Yet she has a way of mixing subtle sex appeal, classy evening wear, and colors that work great on her.The only somewhat unflattering photo there seems to be of Kate is her making an appearance with then-hubby Robinson at a screening at the Venice Film Festival. She has some sort of lavender, two-piece, see-thru, fringed thing going on. But we'll have to say that's excusable, as she looks pregnant in the picture.And of course she's still sporting the California-blonde tousled hair, and glowing make up. Oh, to have that be your signature look.
