Adrian Grenier Biography

Boasting both musical and acting talents, Adrian Grenier was named the next John Travolta by Nylon Magazine in 2001. The accuracy of this prediction remains to be seen, but with a growing list of film credits as well as a starring role on a successful HBO series, Grenier is one of Hollywood's rising stars.Adrian Grenier was born on July 10, 1976, in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating from high school, he studied drama at the Bard College. His debut film appearance was in the 1997 independently-produced Arresting Gena. The following year, Grenier impressed critics with his starring role in The Adventures of Sebastian Cole, in which he played the son of a pre-op transsexual. Although neither film was a commercial success, his talent was apparent to those who saw him perform. Since these independent films, Grenier has appeared in numerous mainstream motion pictures including a co-starring role with Melissa Joan Hart in the 1999 film Drive Me Crazy, a starring role in Bringing Rain, and most recently, a leading role in The Devil Wears Prada, also starring Anne Hathaway and movie mogul Meryl Streep. Grenier has also had parts in the Woody Allen directed film Celebrity, which included among its cast Leonardo DiCaprio and Winona Ryder. He was also in the successful science fiction film A.I., directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg.Grenier has achieved the most on-screen success with his starring role in the HBO comedy Entourage. His character, Vincent Chase, is a young movie star, and the show chronicles the experiences of his life, along with his childhood friends, as they experience living in Hollywood. Since its inception, the critically-acclaimed show, which is now in its third season, has been nominated for an impressive eight Emmys and four Golden Globes. With such success, its probable that Entourage will be a long-running television hit.Grenier has also had worked in the music industry, including making an appearance alongside Melissa Joan Hart in the Britney Spears's video, You Drive Me Crazy. A studied musician, he is an accomplished player of several instruments including the guitar, French horn, and piano.
